3rd party firmware noob here so please bare with me.

I recently bought a cheap DD-WRT compatible router with hopes of using it to reduce some bufferbloat problems with my connection but the FQ_CODEL option is missing from the QoS settings. Do you think flashing to a newer build would have that option or is it simply not supported on this router for some reason? The build it came loaded with is v3.0-r30949 std (12/15/16) which is obviously kind of old now.

Here is a link to the router in question: http://www.minihere.com/youku-yk-l1-openwrt-and-ddwrt-firmware-download.html

As you can see it has a Ralink MT7620A CPU and the Router Information/Status page in DD-WRT shows the Router Model as Buffalo WHR-300HP2 so I assume the following beta build should work correct? https://dd-wrt.com/support/router-database/?model=WHR-300HP2(D)_v1

If yes can that be installed via the Uboot/Breed flash method mentioned in my first link?
