Just tried 05-03-2019-r39715 and had to revert. Looks like dir-882 users have been left behind.
Yeh it seems so :s thing is that custom build from broly with 4.14+ kernel are so stable, have minor web UI issues (that kinda bug me) but they are STABLE! To bad we dont have offical WORKING builds with this kernel...

Just wondering what Broly will give me over stable 03-27-2019-r39296. Is it worth the switch for an average user who is looking for router stability and wifi speed?
The thing that has always impressed with DD-WRT is reverting back from an unstable build is painless as all the setting remain intact. Does this apply to Broly's?
@Iangh unfortunately no, brolys build extends nvram size from 64 kb to 84kb and this process erases whole nvram. However you can do backup before and restore settings in case of revert. But it will certainly give you stability! Thing is i dont use many features, since my DIR878 only serves me as an AP (and backup switch in case i need extra ports) so i dont know what all is changed, but on a quick look nothing is removed, just few things added, you should check brolys post in DIR882 topic about this.
Tried Brody's and it installed just leaving out DDNS and statip IP/MAC addresses, so not as bad as I expected. Unfortunately, couldn't get DDNS details to install so left it there and went back to the latest stable.
