Hi
When I try to run
Code:
wl radio off
or any other wl command, I always get the error
Code:
wl:radio off ->wl driver adapter not found
I also tried to use iwconfig txpower off but didn't find out an interface which works for that command:
Code:
root@DD-WRT:~# iwconfig wl txpower off #<- wl from the wl commmand output
SET failed on device wl ; No such device.
root@DD-WRT:~# iwconfig ra0 txpower off #<- the device with the same MAC as the one at the status page
SET failed on device ra0 ; Operation not supported.
root@DD-WRT:~# iwconfig eth2 txpower off #<- the device with the most details in iwconfig output
root@DD-WRT:~# echo $?
0
The last one didn't produce an error, but the status page still says "Radio is On".
I can change all settings over the web gui, I don't get any errors there. But I need to programmatically turn wlan on and off. What can I try next?
I already reset my device completely to factury defaults and flashed it again - it didn't change anything.
root@DD-WRT:~# uname -a
Linux DD-WRT 2.6.23.17 #3580 Sat Aug 7 09:11:12 CEST 2010 mips unknown
root@DD-WRT:~# wl -i eth0 off
wl:-i eth0 off ->wl driver adapter not found
root@DD-WRT:~# wl -i ra0 off
wl:-i ra0 off ->wl driver adapter not found
root@DD-WRT:~# uname -a

root@DD-WRT:~# wl -i ra0 off

try "wl -i eth1 status" without the quotes. If you get results then "eth1" should be the name for the radio you are trying to turn off. Not sure if you are calling a radio that does not exist or work with "eth0".
For example Asus graciously f*($30 up their 5Ghz radio on a update a while back so mine stopped working. That should be "eth2" on my router. I get the same error as you because there os no adapter (missing drivers) for that. and my 2.3Ghz works fine as "wl -i eth1 status" calls it
