Hi all,
I would like to pass ethernet frames trough a tunnel and back, i think this is possible with a L2TPv3 Psuedowire.
Let me clearify with a drawing that i have included.
So i have a Set-top box that gets a different ip-adress from my isp in order to connect to their internal network(dmz)
It does that by checking its ethernet ports for a specific mac-adress and request dhcp from their internal server (10.x.x.x) & gets a LAN ip adress on the same interface from the modem's DHCP.
Now what i want to achieve is, make it so that the tunnel is transparent for the device & modem.
In short, the modem needs to see the mac-adress of the Set-top box.
What i want or i think i need todo is bridge the tunnel interface with port 2 of my remote router and also connect it to my modem.
If needed i can do the same on my router so it's really transparent or so it would not confuse the set-top box.
MY SIDE:
Router : Linksys WRT1900ACS running ddwrt
Remote SIDE:
Router : TP-link TL-WR1043ND running ddwrt
If their are any questions please let me know.
Thanks in advance,
