Hello,

Long time user, first time poster. I looked everywhere and couldn't find this configuration used, so I must ask for help.

Device details:
Device: Netgear r7000
Firmware: Kong's test build DD-WRT v3.0-r39345M kongac (04/03/19)

What am I trying to accomplish?
My carrier allows for 2 public IP's. I use one for this r7000 router to serve local clients. I'd like to bridge the WAN vlan2 to a new Virtual AP (VAP) to send this WAN network over a wifi link so another device may request a 2nd WAN IP and perform various functions.

I don't want to do WDS or client mode, I want a 2nd public IP.

I tried creating a new br1, moving vlan2 (WAN) into this and adding wl0.1 (VAP), without luck.

Is there any way to accomplish this?

I certainly appreciate any advice.

Thanks!

Anybody have an idea?

I know you can add additional switch ports bridged to WAN vlan to allow 2nd WAN IP on physical port, so this should be feasible to bridge this to a virtual AP?
