Is it possible to setup the OpenVPN Server on the DD-WRT router and have local users (OpenVPN clients) able to connect locally, not through the web?

All I want OpenVPN for is to encrypt the hotspot’s wireless traffic without using WEP, WPA, etc. Let me know if you have any suggestions/comments on this solution or others...Thanks!

http://openvpn.net

.....OpenVPN is not a web application proxy and does not operate through a web browser.

Yes, I understand to use OpenVPN client, software must be installed on the PC and it's not "clientless".

Yes you can. I have an unprotected wireless network on a separate vlan available to anyone and I use OpenVPN from the wireless network to connected to the router and then wired clients. Setup the server with the wiki instructions and then just connect to the server with OpenVPN.

As mentioned in the posts, as of today, use the 6/15 build.
