Picked up this WRT1900ac that has a constant power on and sata led when powered on. Thinking I might be able to revive it. I accessed the serial port and I have attached a picture of what comes up in putty when I turn it on. Can this router be recovered? If the NAND flash is corrupt is this router garbage. Is there away to load back to the NAND flash?

is R31924 still the best firmware for wrt1900ac v1?
It may depend on what you are using it for, I haven't been on as much as I used to be.
Mine is just used as an AP, and has been up 48 days. _________________ Tutorial for flashing WRT series WRT Installation,Upgrade & Basic Setup–Cliff Notes

No. I think we got over the major instability hurdle some time ago now. All builds over the last few months have been fine for me on the v1 (Dec 2018). _________________ Linksys WRT32X v1 - r45677

Decided to upgrade all my routers to r38132
WRT3200acm - appears good and no concerns
WRT120AC V1 & WRT1900AC V1
Totally different story. All went well with the upgrades but had problems with;
1 - As WDS Stations both routers worked fine until I changed the WDS AP to channel 149 from 100. Since I use a virtual AP on the WDS Station, I lost connectivity and when scanning wit Acrylic I noticed that the virtual interface was on channel 100 while the AP was on 149. I thought maybe it was a reset issue but no chance. Both routers exhibited the same weird effect. I reverted the 1200 back to r37012 and all works fine.
2 - After the upgrade my LENOVO PAD would not connect to either router even though nothing was changed in the configuration.
The 3200's on the other hand were totally successful in the upgrade and did not exhibit the quirks of the old V1's
Reverted 1200 and 1900's to r37139 as it appears it was the last build that did not have the problems mentioned above.

Hi can i ask who determines what builds get put against the WRT3200ACM in the router database.
the last build in that list is 37305 ?
is this regarded as the last "supported" beta build for this router and is going to any of the builds since then considered "bleeding edge" or is it simply a case of this not getting updated as often as it should

Wrong thread really.
However, ignore the "official" DD-WRT database as it is rarely maintained. Link to the latest builds are in my sig, below... _________________ Linksys WRT32X v1 - r45677

So I went and updated my WRT1900AC V1 from r36168 to r36645.
I definitely had issues with the second radio on 5g. My cellphone will indicate connected but no internet after a few hours of working just fine. It doesn't do that on any other wifis.
Will see how this release does.
I currently am running r39469 on my V1 and it is the most stable I have seen to date. However, there have been some notes about DHCP acting up but since I don't use my V1 as a master I haven't seen any issues. Incidentally the latest release r39508 has supposedly corrected the DHCP problem which I do have on my 3200 master and is working fine. If you don't like the most recent builds it is not a big issue to switch back anyway, so I would suggest you give it a try. _________________ Starlink & DSL -> TPLink TL-R470T+

is there any possibility someone could assist me with some firmware upgrade information so that i can use my iPhone XS connected to a wrt1900ac v1 (via USB) in tethering mode so that all my devices at home can share the internet via the linksys router

Although I don't use vpn or any other features, I have been running 41491 for a couple of weeks on my 1900V1's e that has a large number o devices still reboots occasionally, but that has been annoyance for over a year and nothing I seem to do fixes it. Different 1900, power supply even a ups. Suspect it may be due to the high web activity caused by my WEB-based cam and esp8266 devices, but otherwise works well. The GUI loss happens occasionally but a simple httpd restart from Telnet fixes that. _________________ Starlink & DSL -> TPLink TL-R470T+
