|I have an r7500v2 running the latest Kong firmware, which is using the 3.18.124 kernel. I want to compile a driver for it, ftdi_sio.ko. I've done kernel development for a variety of platforms, so I know the basics. I just have a few questions:
1) Does Kong use the same 3.18.124 kernel as stock DD-WRT? That is, https://svn.dd-wrt.com/browser/src/linux/universal/linux-3.18?
|# uname -a
Linux DD-WRT 3.18.124 #361 SMP PREEMPT Sun Oct 28 16:18:27 CET 2018 armv7l DD-WRT
2) If so, then for the r7500v2, which .config should I use? .config_ipq806x? I think all I need to do is CONFIG_USB_SERIAL_FTDI_SIO=y and rebuild.
3) Where can I get the cross-compiler?
