@ Frakko, yes i have used the correct firmware. I have restore the router and tried again ang bricked again.

Installed and running fine on my DLink DIR-862L so far.

I've previously had issues with intermittent Wi-Fi (Wi-Fi connected, but no data flow) on the 2.4GHz channel with various other DD-WRT builds - usually a disconnect/re-connect attempt on the client or a router reboot will fix. Some DD-WRT builds seem worse than others. I can't rule out a hardware issue, however.

Update: upon further testing, experienced data lag/failure - CPU was reporting 100% usage. Reboot fixed, but reverted firmware to an older version.
