Just a quick note to confirm that the GUI in this build crashes every 30 minutes (every time I had to reboot the router) on my R7000 + I can't telnet to the router as it rejects the password - which works when I connect to the router with the GUI...

Going back to r37985 (12/16/2018).

Is there a repository with all Kong releases ? In the "clonevince" one I can't find the r38100M kongac (12/27/18 ).

I can supply 38100-dd-wrt.v24-K3_AC_ARM_STD.bin if that is what you are after.

EDIT:
38100-12-27-18dd-wrt.v24-K3_AC_ARM_STD.bin

Thanks but I'll stick with r37985 as it's quite stable...

I'm still on 37985 and happy with this build. You can find it here...

Router EA 6400
Firmware: DD-WRT v3.0-r38580M (02/05/19) (v24-K3_AC_ARM_STD.bin)
Kernel: Linux 4.4.173-rc1 #633 SMP Tue Feb 5 22:28:16 CET 2019 armv7l
Status: Running, primary gateway from CM.
Reset: nvram reset from CFE after initially stuck in boot loop

Errors: Unable to upgrade with ddup either latest (model not supported) or from local file. Might be because my CFE has been modded so many times its a little janky. upgraded with wget + mtd write linux

Runs great, no noticeable differences from the last Kong build. Router is permanently overclocked to 1200mhz. Seems to be a little cooler than before. (68C, with a half assed thermal mod I never finished)

Router: Netgear R6400v1
Firmware: DD-WRT v3.0-r37900M kongac (12/03/18 )
Kernel: (forgot to copy that... oops)
Status: Working
Reset: No
Errors: None so far

VPN: (Strongswan IKEv2) seems to be working.

Flashed using ddup. The whole process took ~2 minutes. I'll keep monitoring the web interface and see if there's other issues.

<Kong> i think i found a bug unless is intentionally set this way. It's about setting the maximum ports in:
Administration/Management which was set to 32768 even though
the info states: (Default: 4096, Range: 256 - 65536).
Found it where it's originating and if it's a bug please fix it.

Router/Version: Netgear R7000
Firmware: DD-WRT v3.0-r38580M kongac (02/05/19)
Kernel: Linux 4.4.173-rc1 #633 SMP Tue Feb 5 22:28:16 CET 2019 armv7l
Previous: Netgear stock
Status: ok
Reset: ?
Errors: yes

Flashed using bin file from Netgear stock gui

I can configure physical wlo and wl1; both come up after reboot and I can connect to them correctly.
In Wireless security, I select WPA2-PSK, with Algorithm AES. If I click the "Unmask" checkbox next to the password, I see the password I set.

If I add a virtual interface on wl0, set the same security, save and reboot, either the physical will not appear to broadcast anymore, either it will, but I am not able to connect to it using the password that was working before I rebooted. Also, this time, the masked password lenght doesn't match the real password lenght anymore and if I click the "Unmask" checkbox next to it, only "stars" will appear "*************"

wl0: AP / Mixed / Ch 8 - 2.447 Ghz
Channel Width: 20 MHz
wl1: AP / Mixed / Ch Auto
Channel Width: 20 MHz

CPU Model: Broadcom BCM4709
CPU Cores: 2
CPU Features: EDSP
CPU Clock: 1000 MHz

@mariobiron did you try the workarounds (2 of them) @egc pointed out to you in the other thread?
You say you Save and reboot. Do you Apply Settings?
Reboot should be unnecessary.

Hello,

When "Save and reboot", I mean "Save, Apply Settings and reboot router" (all 3 steps).

I tried the:
sleep 10; stopservice nas; stopservice wlconf; startservice wlconf; startservice nas;
But, altough I do see both my physical and virtual network being broadcasted afterwards, I am not able to connect to neither.

I also tried the wlconf patched binary, but unfortunately, same result. I see the networks, but can't connect to them anymore.

What is the latest version that has this functionnality still working; if there are no other suggestions, I will simply downgrade.

Thanks

The last VAP working version without workaround required, that I can find is Kong 36070M.

For some reason I can't get my VAP's working on recent builds even with the startup commands. Router is a R7000.

Yes, this is the one I ended up flashing after I read a similar comment in another thread. (https://forum.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=317181&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0)

I needed to do a "erase nvram && reboot" as indicated.

It worked at that point; I was able to create 3 additional virtual networks on my 2.4g and my main network still worked (no unmasq password issue either).

I started trying to see if I could enable/disable the virtual networks from command line using the "wl" command and this brought back the issue. I issued a wl -i wl0.1 down and this brought down all the virtuals and main network on eth0. Doing a wl -i wl0.1 up alone or rebooting didn't solve the issue. And the unmasq password issue is back as well.
