Hello,
Currently i have got TP-Link archer ac7 v5 as rooter but after installing ddwrt and testing openvpn client speed i am a little bit disapointed. After searching on internet i saw that because lack of resources on routers , its not able to handle vpn encrption. Currently i have got 1000mbit at my home and have got nordvpn subcription. After using my rooter as openvpn client my download speed on my desktop (connect trough lan) is 8-10mbit. If i would use openvpn client on my computer same vpn server is giving me 80-100mbit. Is this speed difference really related with my router hardware? If yes which models you can suggest? I heard that dual/quad core with AES-NI hardwars are good for vpn, is it correct? And what is your router openvpn client download speed? Is there any trusfull benchmark page for routers
