My objective is to hide the primary network SSID so guests just see the Guest network and not the primary network - i.e. disable primary and enable guest. Disabling SSID Broadcast on the primary network doesn’t work. I have seen some discussion of SSID Broadcast issues with some builds but those were old posts.

I wonder if this is an issue that may be related to my build or is it that enabling Guest Network SSID broadcast necessarily enables the primary network broadcast as the 2 networks are related.

My setup is

Buffalo WZR-1750DHP
Firmware: DD-WRT v3.0-r37985M kongac (12/16/1Cool
Primary network
Wireless network mode N/G Mixed
Channel Auto
Channel Width Wide HT40
Extension Channel upper
Bridged
IP addresses: 192.168.1.xx
Wireless SSID Broadcast - Disabled

Guest network:
Wireless SSID Broadcast - Enabled
Unbridged
Multicast forwarding - Disabled
Masquerade / NAT - Enabled
Net Isolation – Enabled
IP addresses: 192.168.2.xx
