What could it mean that there are hundreds of UNREPLIED UDP 'active IP Connections' from 127.0.0.1 to itself on port 30?

The total number of connections may run in the 700's and then still slowly climbing even when otherwise there is no extraordinary traffic happening, or there shouldn't be.

Eventually it did come down to the 200's as I write this.

My router: R7800 on f/w 38340M.

It looks like a new phenomenon. Lately I have been 'working' on the DNSmasq settings. Could it have something to do with that?
Could it be harmful?

The max no. of connections is set at 4096.
Edit: Sorry, that's another setting: IP Filter Maximum Ports

Port 30 seems to be associated with viruses/trojans only.
