|I flashed dd-wrt to my netgear R8300 using the R8500 image (routers are the same just an extra usb port AFAIK). All looks good, I can use it. But the one problem I found was the eth device list ranges from 0 to 3 (lists 4 ports) when it should instead list 6 ports. The DD-WRT UI shows only 4 ports as well and ifconfig in the device shows the same, eth0 to eth3.
The weird thing is that if I plug in the ethernet cable in any of the 6 ports, it gets an IP address and connectivity, meaning the router is driving it.
Any ideas as to what could the problem be? I want to test VLANs and being unable to see the physical interfaces in the UI/CLI makes it impossible.
