We a have a little wait before we can get a hardline put into our office, so in the meantime I thought I'd set up my WNDR3700 v4 in client mode to utilise the existing wireless APs in the building.

This is working fine for the 2.4ghz radio, however I'm not getting any joy when trying with the 5ghz radio.

I'm fairly sure I'm doing everything right as I can always get the 2.4ghz radio to work when using the relevant settings, so I'm just wondering if this is an issue with the DDWRT firmware. I have r38326 installed.

Does anyone else have client mode working with a 5ghz radio?

Cheers

You have to disable or put the 2.4GHz radio in AP mode before you can connect the 5GHz radio in Client mode. You cannot connect two radios in Client mode at the same time.

Cheers.

Sorry I should have clarified. The 2.4ghz radio is in AP mode when I am trying to set up client mode on the 5ghz radio.
