Hello there, I was wondering if there were any plans to add compatibility for DD-WRT for the ASUS Gt-AC 5300? The default Asus firmware is not exactly the best firmware, but it’s much better then it was at launch, however, this router is a beast and would be great with DD-WRT or any open source firmware for that matter. Adding DD-WRT to that router would be appreciated a lot by router owners.
35531 is the last known build to flash to the 88U AFAIK. I would probably opt for RMerlin or FreshTomato on the 88U. Maybe Malachi will chime in on that part.
Chances are your bootloader is locked and doesn’t allow any third party firmware.
The gt-ac5300 is not the same as the rt-ac5300, different cpu. _________________ I am far from a guru, I'm barely a novice.
