I have a Router Model Belkin F7D3302 v1 which is running the Firmware Version "DD-WRT v24-sp2 (03/25/13) mega - build 21061" and would like to update it. Nothing wrong with the router per se, just want to stop running 6 year old software if I can avoid it.
Howevver, when I upgrade to this version (over the web http://192.168.1.1/Upgrade.asp ) the firmware doesn't upgrade. There is no error, it goes through all the steps, the router reboots, but stays at the old version. I suspect this is because of the version jump from 2.6 to 3.x. Can someone perhaps point me to a workaround?
Also, would it be safe for me to upgrade to "DD-WRT Broadcom Generic - NEWD K2.6 - Mega dd-wrt.v24-37305_NEWD-2_K2.6_mega.bin" or would that brick the router? This one is listed on the page for F7D3301 but not for F7D3302.

That router is picky with the build images you try to load. You can use the suggested CFE miniWeb server, or you can choose a different build, preferable an smaller one. _________________ If you want support, please read first the announcements and forum rules.
