My setup
Router ModelAsus RT-N66U
Firmware Version DD-WRT v3.0-r37305 big ( 10/10/18 )
Kernel VersionLinux 3.10.108-d6 #21212 Wed Oct 10 16:41:43 CEST 2018 mips

Connected to OpenVPN on the primary (w0) wifi interface. There are two other virtual interfaces (wl0.1, wl0.2) which do not go through VPN.

Situation - Trying to use "Services==> Additional DNSMasq option - addn-hosts=/jffs/dnsmasq/hosts" to force the router to block unwanted websites/ads etc.

Problem - As soon as I set the "Services==> Additional DNSMasq option ==> addn-hosts=/jffs/dnsmasq/hosts" option and commit, OpenVPN drops the connection.

Notes - I have noted that the additional virtual interfaces wl0.1 and wl0.2 is working OK when there is no connection on wl0.

Questions -
I suspect there is OpenVPN specific additional configuration that needs to be added?
How do I debug this ?

Desperately seeking some help here ...

Thank you.
