Router: Asus RT-N18U
Firmware: DD-WRT v3.0-r37736 (17/11/2018)
Status: semi Working
Reset: Yes, before and after
Previous: 30605
Errors: No

As soon as I set up a VAP, it does not work after reboot, telling me the password is not valid.
On other three routers with Kong mod R7000, AC68U and EA6900 (r36070M) everything works fine with the identical VAP on all routers.

Can you recommend me a recent BS build from 2018 where VAP works (also tried several builds back to r36079 with the same result, VAP not working) ?

Many thanks !

Every kong build after r36070M has VAP issues on my AC68u, try any build before that, and VAP should be ok, even for BS builds.

Ya, the BS builds aren't fixed for this yet. Have you tried the workaround for this?

Yes I tried the workaround beforehand, unfortunately it didn't work.
I found r33555 to work with the Asus RT-N18U. Funnily the effect is the other way around, the VAP works after reboot, but not when you set it first.
Not sure if it has to do something with the fact, that I used macOS / iOS devices to test it, although as written for the other routers with Kong mod r36070M there are no issues.
Happy now, it works.
cheers gchulio
