|
Hey guys,
until now i had a R7000. But i need a new router and i am unsure which one I should buy.
R7000, R7800, R8000, R8500, R9000?
Which one is the best?
Which has the best dd-wrt support?
Is the 9000 stable meanwhile?
Is it the 9000 worth to spend that much money?
Is the wifi-range of the 7800...9000 much better then the 7000?
I need the Router for a 500/50Mbit Connection (the R7000 could handle that easily). Need a good wifi range 2,4/5Ghz, and a Vlan or two, thats it.No Qos, no VPN.
The 10gbit sfp at the 9000 is nice to have, but not needed at the moment.
Thank you! |

R7800 so far is the best price/performance router with
DDWRT support especially Kong builds on it...
so far im not disappointed from it at all especially with my set up it works flawless..
R9000 has better specs but its price and support are still in baby stage....
all the Netgear R series can deliver 30 Mwt TX power so range is
quite the same i wish i could say R7800 has a better coverage than R7000 but i haven test it yet....
may be because it has 1 more antenna range is better... _________________ Atheros
