r7500v2 ddup from 37835M no reset working fine. Enabled RFC4039 Rapid Commit support option in dnsmasq, expecting to help mobile devices connects to wifi faster coming from cell data service

Any real advantage? Looks like mostly for public wifi/open hotspots security. Wondering if speed vs wpa2

Great, so we no longer need to make the processor core affinity adjustment like so?: echo 1 > /proc/irq/101/smp_affinity
echo 2 > /proc/irq/100/smp_affinity

So when setting to WPA3 PSK, we'd need to set 802.11w to Enable or Auto?

Not supported by Kong.

Hmm tried wpa3 with aes, sae passphrase, and 802.11w enabled. Didn’t work, Win10 October update. Am I missing something?

its auto enabled by default when selecting wpa3, its in the hostapd conf, just the gui doesnt update to show it. if doing wpa3 only, then its enabled aka forced. if using wpa3 mixed with wpa2 or wpa, then its auto aka supported but not forced.

R7800
up 1:15
Seems OK
Buffalo keeps disconnecting, might be a problem with 37837. Will investigate in the A.M.

EA8500
Upgraded via GUI from r37835M without reset.
All up and running.
No startup commands specified - default.
WireGuard would be nice Smile

Kong, what changed with 4.9 to lower the QoS latency?

Thanks for the continued support of these routers.

Router Model Netgear R7800
Firmware Version DD-WRT v3.0-r37845M kongat (11/24/1Cool
Kernel Version Linux 4.9.140 #270 SMP PREEMPT Sat Nov 24 01:13:47 CET 2018 armv7l

update: ddup 37630 3.18 > 37845
reset: NO
status: Operational
errors: 802.11w Mgmt Frame Protection "enabled" is jamming the WiFi...WiFi connection is not possible
in sys log it says devices are connected and authenticated but no connection at all...
so 802.11w Mgmt Frame Protection is either client dependant or not working with WPA2 AES

haven't done reset and removed all those lines from start up

for CPUFREQ in /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu*/cpufreq/scaling_governor; do [ -f $CPUFREQ ] || continue; echo -n performance > $CPUFREQ; done
echo 2 > /proc/irq/31/smp_affinity
echo 2 > /proc/irq/67/smp_affinity
echo 2 > /proc/irq/89/smp_affinity
echo 2 > /proc/irq/255/smp_affinity

so no MAX CPU speed and no changes in CPU's process/affinity will keep eye on it...
just noticed no WiFi security encryption is selected in wi-fi settings but as
no reset its still with default WPA2 AES only...i guess P.S. appeared after reboot

also had to remove all the settings in hostapd before this update...
