Off Is Not Really Off?

Pertinent Settings --

Wireless > WL1 Advanced
Radio Time Restrictions
Radio Scheduling Enable
Select Always Off

Wireless > Basic Settings
Wireless Physical Interface wl1 [5 GHz]
Physical Interface wl1 - SSID [dd-wrt] HWAddr [30:85:A9:6D:75:C4]
Wireless Mode AP
Wireless Network Mode N-Only
Wireless Network Name (SSID) dd-wrt
Wireless Channel Auto
Channel Width 20 MHz
Wireless SSID Broadcast Enable
Sensitivity Range (ACK Timing) 2000 (Default: 2000 meters)
Network Configuration Bridged[/b]

With the WL1 (5 GHz) radio set Always Off the SSID is still broadcast.

However, with the WL1 (5 GHz) radio set Always Off and the Wireless Network Mode set to Disabled then the SSID is not broadcast. This does not necessarily mean the radio is actually off but rather that there is no 802.11n signal on the 5GHz carrier.

The above suggests that Always Off does not mean the radio is actually powered down.
