@hebeda, Not that it matters because my modem is bridged before hand tho I set the IPv4/IPv6 Lease time to "Forever" also this was not a issue till I updated firmware ...anyways I have my modem and router bridged using the router as a gateway so I get a WAN IP and DHCP from the router via ddwrt
I thought maybe it could be my DHCP WAN lease renewing around that time
so I checked and verified its not It's set up as auto renew every 3-4 days not each night
currently while typing this it says Remaining Lease Time 2 days 11:13:20 ( even tho it just happened )
So no clue why i'm loosing connection every night at the same time.
@<Kong>, syslog enabled I get no errors in logs to indicate anything

no? im not trolling and asked u a question.. isp issues do exist u know. doesnt it seem odd that its every 24 hrs all the time? im 97% sure this is a leasing issue.. _________________ LATEST FIRMWARE(S)

hmm. ok well then, I can understand what you mean then, but what seems odd to me is that this only started happening once I updated my firmware. as I stated before this was never a issue, also someone else commented in here they had the same problem and reverted back to firmware from 3 months ago to solve the issue.
Now if this is really a leasing issue why does it not say 24 hours under Status > WAN > Remaining Lease Time

Actually when I enable Klogd I get this...
Nov 18 07:39:49 PSYCHO kern.info kernel: [12458.940000] Atheros AR8216/AR8236/AR8316 ag71xx-mdio.0:00: Port 5 is down

you have to enable Klogd to see it.
for me and another was around 2-3am each night.
it's only last for 8 second occurs once every 24 hours.
most people prob don't even notice tbh.
on a static as well.

Most likely ISP cuts of connection every 24h, a lot of ISPs do that and the log entry is from network down/up which brings the interfaces down/up when connection is re-established. _________________ KONG PB's: http://www.desipro.de/ddwrt/

thats the regular 24h ISP disconnect ... nothing special ...
Yeah I don't know if either of you guys actually read the entirety of my original post or not, but like I previously said, this disconnect issue has not ever occurred until the day I updated my firmware, coincidental or not, prior to that on the firmware I had before I updated I had no connection loss issue, I have broadband unlimited from my ISP with is a stable connection 24/7/356. Never once in the past 20 years with this service have I seen a connection cut off or disconnect from the ISP like both of you describe so if that is normal for you I would get better service as that should not be a thing as I'm telling you I never experienced that beforehand I digress.
STAUS UPDATE:
I got a new modem on blackfriday and hooked it up and downgraded the routers DDWRT firmware to what <labo> recommended when he has the issue to version: DD-WRT v3.0-r36330 std (07/16/18) and my issue has seem to go way, granted it's only been a couple days, but I enabled klogs and dont see any ports going down also no noticeable connection loss at all at anytime. my connection is fixed and stable again...Not sure if it was a DHCP issue as someone else mentioned in the thread or maybe the firmware itself or settings, either way having this new modem and old ddwrt firmware seems to fixed it, it might have been a bad modem but, now that I'm using the older ddwrt firmware and it works, I'm afraid to try a newer ddwrt firmware. either way this issue has gone away and my net is always connected now.
