No, If there is an update it's usually done quarterly.
Depends on whose builds you are following. If BS, he usually averages a new build every two weeks or so. Kong is probably more like monthly to every other month it seems. He himself said in another thread just a week or so ago that he only makes a build when the changes are important enough to warrant it.

Kong builds have an automatic update feature (on Administration page).
This will not get you his latest (test) build but the stable build.
As these are tested for a longer period, they are usually fine.
However it might be good practice to disable it and read the build threads first.
