It is very similar to an 841ND v9 or v10. I can edit the header in the file so it should flash on your device. I am willing to do it, provided you understand the risks.

You need a way to recover it though if it goes bad, TFTP, serial. TP-Links are usually pretty easy to recover because they have a TFTP server that is looking for a specific file name: http://bkil.blogspot.ca/2014/12/hidden-tftp-of-tp-link-routers.html

My guess for the recovery filename would be: wr845nv1_tp_recovery.bin

I am ready to take the risk. I'll figure out a way to recover the router If anything goes wrong as I am also a technical IT Expert.

Kindly provide the updated flash.

Here are some test files for 845N v1, not tested.
They are based on 841ND v10 and 841ND v11 respectively.

There is currently no wikidevi or any other webpage dedicated to that router. It is impossible to tell what the internals are without opening up the router.

It may be able to be supported, but I will need more info, photos of the main chips on the circuit board.

just to let you know those routers you are chasing are for very basic needs have a very limited set of features due to their low specs and low flash ram space...
also they are not VPN compatible at all
overall good for basic needs but sadly obsolete and devs don't pay much attention to it as well...
