GUI Upgrade via wireless...very bad idea..not recommended...at all
P.S. i had brick once since than i got my lesson the thing is WIFI does not have
flow ecc like LAN Ethernet has.. Wink (hate to solder those serial pins)

Yep That's what they say. I have done it at least a dozen times on this router with no problems. It will bite me one day but not today.

Does the firmware get copied to ram first before flashing begins or is it literally flashing over network?

yes, it is copied first...
I flashed it over wifi a lot of times, and over remote web (http wan) although it is not recomended... never had problem when fw is ok...
