Hi everyone. I am new to DD-WRT and mitmproxy and I have kind of a theoretical question if `mitmproxy` can be run on a DD-WRT router itself instead of a dedicated server?
Will a 600Mhz CPU/ 128Mb RAM home wifi-router be able to handle traffic from a couple of devices?
Has anyone tried that? Please, share your thought. Thanks in advance for your help.

*bump* Smile

looking for this too, I've got a rather powerful router and experimenting with a setup that allows me to separate IOT & OTT devices out to a separate subnet automatically. It would be ideal to get these devices through a proxy for the sake of a bit of transparency.

instead mitmproxy, to separate traffic, your best hit is, use a VLAN on its own bridge/subnet/dns + managed switch...
On high class Broadcom units its easy to do it, via GUI interface, as well on R7800 with the last Kong build...

I actually ended up using both.
The point of mitmproxy remains transparent MITM on devices trusting your RootCA (e.g. SSL decrypt).
