Hello forum, I have a somewhat complex question.

Can DD-WRT setup a VPN for my whole network? Like how VPN services give you a new IP and such forth, I want any device on my network to have its traffic go through a VPN from the router. So I don’t have to setup VPNs on all of my devices. I currently have a Netgear WNDR3700v3 for a router. If it is possible, how can I do it, with as little money as possible. Please please be nice to me, I have only just started using DD-WRT, and I have very little networking knowledge.

Assuming you are talking about setting up openvpn client from a paid provider the answer is yes.
If you are talking about running your own vpn server the answer is yes.

Suggest that you do some searching and some reading. Understand for yourself what needs to be done and then spend any money on a VPN provider. Everyone has their own choice and you have yours. Since $$$ is an issue, it is better to have a very good idea of what you are doing before spending what you have.

Yes - it is possible to configure VPN (OpenVPN type) on your dd-wrt router.
Yes - it is possible to make a kill-switch that does not allow ANY traffic to bypass the VPN
Yes - it is possible to separate out one SSID into VPN and keep the other open - so that users get a choice of whether to connect to VPN channel or keep their device on the open one.
In fact, there is a whole world of possibilities with dd-wrt.

Asking will get you hints and not solutions. This forum will surely point at the right direction, but you will need to make the trip yourself. Its up to you how interesting you decide to make your journey.

I had a similar question which the community helped me solve:

Different members of the community posted their views on which is the best VPN service:

These two links should help make your searching easier. Welcome.
