I just updated to r37305 and ever since I have to manually release and renew my WAN DHCP lease following reboot. Otherwise, I never connect. I don't know if this will also be the case when/if my lease expires or if my connection drops.
I'm running the rig as a VPN gateway between my cable modem and a wireless AP. Previously I was running r33986 with the same config, which exhibited no such issues.
UPDATE
I've rolled back to r33986. I can't have my net in a state where I'll likely need to talk/walk my wife or kids through a manual DHCP release/renew, or drive home and do it myself, any time there is a hiccup in my connection. I need the router to handle recovery for me, which r33986 has. The whole point of a network, in my case, is so I can access my bits and resolve any LAN client issues remotely. My wife home schools our kids so the latter takes place periodically.
I am having the exact same issue with my WRT3200ACM running r37305. This issue pretty much makes the router useless. I am just curious why you rolled back to such an old release. Did you try any of the releases between 33986 and 37305? I am thinking of trying 33986. Aside from the DHCP renewal issue, did you notice any major improvements with the 37305 over the 33986 release?

Have you ever tried just waiting for the ISP modem to refresh your connection? Probably the leasetime of your WAN IP is longer than you expect. Here it is about 1-10minutes.

Yes, I have let it set overnight to see if it would eventually connect to no avail. And when running the stock firmware I never had any connectivity problems with reboots.
