Or put another way, I'd like to allow the service only from 3AM until 8AM. If I enter 8AM as the start time and 3AM as the end time I get an error that the end time must be larger than the start time.

I can create two policies, one from 8:00 until 23:59 and one from 00:00 to 3:00, but I was wondering if there is a better (or different) way to do this?
(I'm not terribly worried about the 1 minute hole from 23:59 until 24:00/0:00, though it's a bit annoying)

Firmware: DD-WRT v3.0-r36070M kongac on a Netgear R6300 v2

As far as I know you have to have two separate rules. This can be annoying considering you are only allowed 10 rules. Some other options for blocking.

Server Solutions
OpenDNS
Local DNS Server such as DNSmasq, BIND or PiHole
Squid Proxy Server (Headache for HTTPS)

Client Solutions
ColdTurkey Blocker (My favorite)
Built in OS parental controls

Also if a device is already connected at the shutoff time it will probably stay connected. You could add a cron job that reboots the router and disconnects everything.
