Did you accidentally use the factory-to-dd-wrt.bin of 37012?
Mistakes happen.

I had same problem as you describe.

I switched from Chrome to MS Edge just for this activity and it worked.

I always use Firefox...never had a problem so far.

Finally able to flash, flashed r36581 1st and then ssh into router entered following (my part 1 has Linksys stock FW) this is to trick it to think that I am flashing from part 1 (credit goes to someone who posted this trick sometime ago in another thread)

ubootenv get boot_part (to make sure I am on part 2)
ubootenv set boot_part 1 (no reboot)

upgraded to r37012 within ddwrt and success.

part 1 is still Linksys firmware.
