Hi,
I want to replace my old WRT54g routers. But I have no idea which model I should buy. Actually I don't need some special features. I just want to send the signal about 250m.
Which models can you recommend (flashable with actual firmware)? The antennas must be replaceable.

I still recommend the TP-Link Archer C7 v2, 3, or 4 (not 5).
It is decent. Don't expect amazing VPN speeds, but it does have great range. The antennas are removable (I use 8dBi antennas on both of mine). I get about 250m. Not exactly sure though, I have so many WDS Stations that range is not really an issue for me.

The r8000 doesn’t have removeable antenna and some recent users are not able to flash dd-wrt to it. _________________ I am far from a guru, I'm barely a novice.
