Other than the 1 hour drops on wds, this build is definitely a good looking build for me. I will wait for the 1 hour drops to get fixed before executing any other upgrades to other routers.
Updated my WRT1900ACv1 from r36995 without reset.
All seems ok so far.
I can only assume r36995 must have broken something for a new firmware to replace it so soon. _________________ ------------------------------------

Seems to mean there MUST be something wrong with the last build ??? Or realy wrong.
But no announcement? Any hints as to why a new build so quickly?? / what's wrong with the 36995 build ??

nickant,
Thanks for pointing out that the thread in Broadcom has more information.
Is that true for most builds? Or just in this case?
In my case, I am mostly looking for a build that gets me the latest OpenVPN & OpenSSL versions & will work with my non-WiFi stacked wrt3200's & wrt1200v2. "Works" defined as including letting me get backups saved. (I'll be posting a thread on that issue later.)

Hi Sam,
Yes, always more info on Broadcom thread.
Broadcom = 513k posts
Marvell = 21k posts
Most of the >36168 builds have updated OpenVPN and OpenSSL versions, not sure how far back from 37012 since last updates.
I use VPN client on router to cover my home network with VPN; no issues on the recent builds.
I have no problems creating a config backup for my WRT1900ACv1 setups, but can't speak for the latter Linksys routers. _________________ ------------------------------------

Here are the OpenVPN & OpenSSL versions in the recent builds:
== dd-wrt to instal from LS FW 2018-09-19
-------r33986 = r35531 = r36247 = r36698 = r36808 = r36995
Ovpn--2.4.4-----2.4.5------2.4.6------2.4.6------2.4.6------2.4.6
oSSSL 1.1.0g----1.1.0g----1.1.0h----1.1.0i-----1.1.0i------1.1.1
To get the versions from your installed r37012 build just use "openvpn --version" in the CLI on the Admin/Command Line page.
The openVPN update to 2.4.6 is a critical update. But the latest OpenSSL updates to at least the 1.1.0i are even more important and was accomplished in August. Then 1.1.1 was released in September.

There may be other changes but . . r37012 appears to be a major update for the Wireguard VPN Project rather than a correction update to the previous release.
r36995 is stable without issues for me on two WRT1200ACv1 so I'll skip this update for now as I'm currently using OpenVPN.

Upgraded all devices to r37012.
1200AC V1, 2 x 1900AC V1, 2 x 3200acm
Started to have problems with Sonoff TH16 (esp8266) but noticed a firmware upgrade (2.6.0) for them and updated all devices. All devices connected and stayed connected after update. No more disabling wmm as a workaround.
WDS between 3200 and other than 3200 (1200, 1900) still resets every hour on the hour. Not a serious problem for me but hope to see it go away in the future.
Overall very happy with this build. Best build so far for 3200's. I do hope that others with later version 1200's and 1900's also find this build an improvement since it worked so well for the 3200. _________________ Starlink & DSL -> TPLink TL-R470T+

Webflashed all in my signature, no reset, no problems up over 2 hours.
WRT3200 - Wireless Disabled
WRT1900v1 - Access Point - 5Ghz only
WRT1200v1 - Access Point 5Ghz hooked just to the RE6500, speed improvement, was 100 now 160 mbps, happy.
Now onto the wireless security settings, seems I need to hit the books as to what is new besides the WPA3 stuff _________________ Tutorial for flashing WRT series WRT Installation,Upgrade & Basic Setup–Cliff Notes

I installed r37012-2018.September.21 on my WRT1900ACS_v1 as flash upgrade (from build rr36995) keeping my configs without issues. I used the Edge browser for the upgrade. So far, everything seems to be working without issues. I'll report if I hit any.

So do we know if this release (r37012) has fixed issue #6319? Are iPhones/iPads stable on wifi now?
In my not very exhaustive testing I would say my iPhoneX is still having some 5GHz AC WiFi issues. The phone connects but can't get internet - it masks this a bit switching to LTE.
When my phone is on one of my APs (non-DDWRT) they work as usual.
Would someone please verify the OpenVPN and OpenSSL versions that are in this r37012 build.
CLI command "openvpn --version"
Thanks
