Hallo DD-WRT Forumsmitglieder,

So nun meine Frage an euch:

Worked for 2 years previously?

Newest update = more breaks, no fix.

Try this: Revert/undo/return to older firmware that works. Some favored versions: 27506, 27745, 31899, 33006, 33555, 35034, 35831, 35927, 36006, 36330.

Hello danielwritesback,
first thank You for writing me back and giving me the advice of trying alternative firmware.
I tried now all firmware you suggested and still the same problem, when I try to connect through pptp or L2TP vpn the device wont do it anymore. Yes the device worked 2 years all the time with exact the same configurations, and also my others wr841 without deteachable antennas work like panzers with the same configurations (also right at this time). So I think there is a hardware bug causing this, because the logs also give me no answers.
Thanks for try to help me Daniel, i ordered a new wr841 router, the old one is only uesably without vpn.
If someone reads this and has the same problem and find solution, please tell us all, because I didnt found a solution till now.

Thank You Cheers

Hardware bug? One of mine did it.

I loaded dd-wrt webrevert to factory (listed in the forums, special edition to load factory firmware safely). That file is in dd-wrt atheros forum.

Then a reset.

Then a version of factory firmware from tplink site.

Then a reset.

Then back to dd-wrt, probably 33006.

This procedure replaces the data on a larger amount of the flash storage area.

Alternative: DD-wrt Webrevert to factory (file is located in the atheros forum), reset, Gargoyle/Openwrt (older version).

If none of this works, you can assume that the router's power cord, or the whole router, has worn out.
