Hi folks, I have used quite a few custom firmwares on my R7000 with little or no issues, even AdvancedTomato and Merlin successfully.
I decided to try DD-WRT because of its robust support and vast features.

I've installed the latest versions both from Kong and Brainslayer's repositories but there's an obvious bug.

I've followed the required installation procedure from 3 different PCs. However, each time I reboot the R7000 be it from the gui interface, command line or unplugging the power-cord, all configured settings resets to default including login credential.

Worth to mention that I didn't have such issue with other custom and oem firmwares.

Any help?

Did you reset the router after flashing?

Yes I did. Unfortunately I'm not the only one with this issue. See this link with people having similar issues.

Almost everybody with the problem of the router resetting to default after a reboot have used other firmware notably from Xwrt Vortex. Have you?

I did use Xvortex around a month ago. However, I went back to Netgear's oem and used it a few weeks before deciding to try dd-wrt.
Is it a problem tied to Xvortex? What are my options now?
