Hi all, I also have a R6400v2 and I am more than happy to help as much as I can. In attachment the output of "nvram show" and dmesg commands.

You should contribute a router to Kong and let him build a BS fw better. while on waiting you able to porting r6400vx to r7000 not r7000P. just retore r6400vx to OEM firmware, from that point you need copy and back up nvram and factory mtd. When you look at wikidev on both model v1 and v2. little different is cpu and flash ic but both are arm cortex. also on log nand should be 0x0800.0000 in hex or 128MiB but it is

all you need replace xvotex r7000 cfe. if you want down grade to r6300v2 then change board rev and type for compatible with fw of r6300v2. also you can able upgrade to r7000 not r7000p by same way. If board data from cfe not math then fw may going boot loop. You can not used both fw ,only down grade or upgrade until Kong fix and release new build one.
note:use at your own risk.

You must've just completely skipped over the last few posts. I'm pretty sure there's a donation in the process Cool

I guess the price jumped, or there is shipping involved? 25 Euros added to goal... not surprised, since I know how much that device costs here locally. At least the original goal has been covered.

since I started this thread, contributed to sending the first one to BrainSlayer, and have a bricked router (probably all my fault, by the way - my board ID ends in 20...) - I just kicked in another 10 euro.
Cool

Verifying that it's in fact a V2 prior to shipment is probably ideal, I would think.

Exactly must be sure that it is v2 and with the new board_id of U12H332T30_NETGEAR.

As we have now sufficient money to order one, I just did order one Smile.

Will get back about shipping but I am confident we will get there one way or the other.

I already informed Kong and I promised him a beer at the Munich oktoberfest (small one)

There is already enough money?? With only 2 contributions?

R6400v2 with boardid of U12H332T30_NETGEAR has been sent to KONG Very Happy

Total cost including shipping E108, E 100 has already been donated, Thanks to John and David.

Thank you all for the support

We have to be a little patient as Kong is a busy man and it will take some time to sort out this boardid mess.

Oh and Kong works best when he can work in silence so do not bother him.

I have started on working on an install guide for the R6400v2 see: https://forum.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=316399 contributions are welcome

Many thanks, I just saw your contribution and when I visit the Oktoberfest in Munchen I will buy one.

I will keep you all informed the packet has track and trace and should be delivered in 2 to 3 days.

Again many thanks to you all especially the ones who have contributed: (big)John, David and Xeon2K8.
