Firstly Hello from Birmingham UK!

Will try to be as succinct as possible:-

DIR-615 D4 flashed with DD-WRT D4. All Good.

DIR-615 configured in Client/Gateway mode. All Good.

Primary router downstairs.

Hikvision DVR in roof space.

DIR-615 connected to Hikvision DVR LAN. Not good.

Primary Archer C9 192.01.XX

Secondary D-Link DD-WRT 192.1.X

Appears to be a conflict with DCHP on the DVR pulling the IPv4 from secondary router and not primary?

However, I have tried to manually set DVR IPv4/default gateway to same range as Primary. No good.

The D-LINK flashed with DD-WRT in client mode does connect to the internet when connected to this laptop via same LAN cable.

Any ideas? Really confused!

Just want to be able to view cameras via web browser without hardwiring direct to the downstairs router.

If I understand you correctly you have two routers.
Assuming you are connecting the routers wirelessly there is Client mode where each router has its own subnet: https://wiki.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Client_Mode

And there is Repeater-Bridge mode where you have just one subnet, this mode gives you seamless access throughout your network but a there are a lot of builds which do not function with repeater bridge for settng up see: https://wiki.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Repeater_Bridge

You did not state your build, but latest build can be found here: ftp://ftp.dd-wrt.com/betas/2018/

As always read the peacock thread (sticky thread at beginning of this forum), research the build threads and alwasy reset before and after flashing and put your settings manually Smile

Thank you so much!

I reconfigured as you advised and it is working exactly as I wanted it to with the hikvision dvr.
