Your connection from the isp is of fibre. But what is the speed at which your modem (which receives fibre) connects to the tp link?

100 mbit full-duplex according to swconfig. On the ASUS router it is the same. Facts:

1. Tplink stock firmware I test 94/94 from the android device.
2. DD-WRT without DHCP server plugged into the LAN port of both Tplink and ASUS router (having the WAN connection, i.e. Tplink router as clean access point), 94/94 from the android device.
3. DD-WRT with Tplink having the WAN connection 94/70 from the android device.
4. DD-WRT with the ASUS router having the WAN connection of course 94/94 from the android device.
5. Sometimes I can manage from my laptop to archive 94/94 via the Tplink router having the WAN connection, but it is not consistent like with the ASUS router, getting 94/94 at all time.

All speeds are via 5 GHz.

Bo

Which build are you using btw?
Builds post 35927 have some issues with wifi for this chipset.

The multicast_to_unicast setting ensured I do not see "Invalid misc" (using iwconfig) anymore. My android phone still shows 90/60 mbps. My laptop is able to archive around 90/90. On the ASUS RT-N66U all devices archived around 90/90.

Can you specify your settings for the 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz cards? Ideally, as you would show a screen with settings.

I get tired of setting the wifi.
1. I noticed that when I set wifi 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz at the same time after a while the icons from the wireless network disappear.
2. As I set the 2.4Ghz wireless network switched on (5Ghz off), the icon on the router is on but I can not see my SSID on the phone.
3. As I set the 5Ghz wireless network switched on (2.4Ghz off), the icon on the router is on but I can not see my SSID on the phone.

How do you run this wifi on archer c7 v4?

These are my settings:

I have checked several versions of DD-WRT and it seems to me that the latest ones have a problem with WIFI. At least I have a problem with me

r36995 dont work

Has anyone tested beyond the r36808 release for this router? I am getting internet after running this on just a WLAN for some time, so I could wirelessly share a HDD to my Raspberry Pi's and my laptop. I am just finally getting internet and will not be there for the Fiber install by my ISP, so I wanted to make sure that I have a stable build at least for that, in case I need to help my not-so-tech-savvy roommate set things up or adjust settings over the phone, to ensure the connection they install actually works (it takes about a week for them to be able to come back and troubleshoot if there are issues). I have the connection type set to DHCP, per the ISP, but I wanted to make sure that I am on the most recent build that has been thoroughly tested. Thanks!

I have Archer C7 v4 and DD-WRT r37882 currently installed.
For now everything is working correctly except LED's.
LAN & WAN LED's are only On (when cable connected) or Off (when cable disconnected),
no blinking on network activity (tested with 100Mb and 1000Mb connection, it's same, no blink).
WiFi 2,4GHz & 5GHz LED are ok, mainly Off and blink when network activity.
Is it a common problem with any C7 v4 and can it be fixed ? or should I use a newer firmware ?

Is there a startup script available for C7 v4 to make LAN & WAN LED's work like it should ? or should I do 30/30/30 reset ?
(I have found a startup script for C9 to make LAN LED blink, but I doubt I can use it).

That's one of the 1st things I noticed. None of the LED's show activity except the WiFi ones. IIRC, I don't believe the stock F/W was any different which makes me think it's the chipset or associated circuits.

I don't know why the Chinese can't get this stuff right. Either the indicator lights are too bright, or too dim or in this cae don't function properly.
