I've just flashed TP-Link WDR3500v1.3 to v3.0-r30949 std (12/15/16).
Then I'm trying to setup media server but there is no miniDLNA option under NAS tab.
In stock firmware, there is media server setting option so this router supports UPnP/DLNA..
Is there any specific firmware including DLNA option?
Please help.

WDR3500 has 8 MB space and the DD-WRT image is 7.7MB.
So I don't get what not enough flash space means..
Please explain in detail.
Thanks in advance.

it means it cant fit in a 7.7mb ddwrt build, & the build cant be made any bigger or else it wouldnt fit in the flash space & fail during update. therefor, not enough flash space for full features.

Thank you.. Now I understand...
Then, is there any build supporting DLNA?

There is no build for that router with miniDLNA. Get a router with 16mb or more of flash space.

Hi,

I just switched from LEDE to DD-WRT because I read that DD-WRT is easier.
I have the same issue with a WDR4300.

I understand the hardware limitation, but in LEDE you could get around it by adding USB storage which is then used by LEDE to store additional software.

Is there a way to do the same in DD-WRT and then add MiniDLNA.
There are two USB ports on the device, so I thought a USB key to extend the system storage and a harddrive for media files.

Thanks in advance.

Entware has minidlna available: https://wiki.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Installing_Entware
