Our Linksys WRT32X has been delivered.
I'm just waiting on confirmation from Brainslayer that it is actually there and working properly.
Will post a final update with the good news as soon as I have it! _________________ DD-WRT Installation & Setup TUTORIAL http://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=311117

I talked to him Friday. He wasn't going to the office this weekend so he'll let me know everything is all good Monday (tomorrow).
I'll ask him to post here in this thread for verification. _________________ DD-WRT Installation & Setup TUTORIAL http://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=311117

Mission accomplished!! Brainslayer has the WRT32X !!! Thank you to @cybrnook, @Adamcarter & @Bruno38 for your generosity.
I asked Brainslayer to confirm receipt in this thread, but I'm sure he's very busy so I don't know when he'll get to it.
If anyone would like to get verification privately, you can email him at:

First thing I'm hoping for is a return to stock feature. Seems to be one of the most asked questions that doesn't have a good answer yet.
Too complicated for those who aren't familiar with the command line.

My philosophy is anyone who uses open-source firmware should own a serial cable.
Elvis impersonator was selling some nice ones a while ago, he had sourced them from China in bulk I believe tailored for the WRT series I still have one.

Haven't heard anything yet. I check Trac regularly for any WRT32X specific changesets, but I haven't seen anything since we got him one.
I'm still waiting on a fix for #6319. Until the iOS device issue is resolved, DD-WRT is unusable for me.
https://svn.dd-wrt.com/ticket/6319
The last email I sent him was to ask if he could think of a reason why Linksys would have limited the flash size or if it was an unfortunate side-effect of something else.
Never heard back so I assumed he got busy and forgot.
I need to contact Linksys Support about the firmware size restriction. Maybe they can push a fix in the next Venom firmware upgrade.
I've been playing around with the stock Venom firmware. I was able to fix the issue with the custom DNS Servers not being used (still went to ISP DNS) by fully disabling IPv6.
I also deleted some useless Cron Jobs and I got the logs to go to my external Syslog server.
One of these days I am planning to try to install DNSCrypt Proxy V2. _________________ DD-WRT Installation & Setup TUTORIAL http://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=311117

Haven't booted up my WRT in while. Did they still have the 5 minute fan cronjob?

Yup! Dumbfounded as to how it's still there after all this time.
(For those who may not know: the WRT1900AC v1 was the last MVEBU router to actually have a fan, however, the cron job to run said fan has never been removed)
The other two cron jobs I removed were a PPPoE debugger (I have cable not DSL) and firmware update check.
The update check remained even though I disabled automatic firmware upgrade in Venom GUI.

Spurious me too about the 6319. Can’t believe it takes this long to revert back to the old programing like kong has done. _________________ WRT3200ACM V1 r39267 std (03/22/19) OpenVPN client
