Any network-related settings change will do that, or so it's been my experience. It's basically re-starting networking on the LAN side of the router.
Exactly, if the issue is real (not just isolated on my router) then everytime some network settings changed the router can behave erratically, right?

I think there's more issues than just this with startup scripts. I put iptable changes (fixing network isolation when using bridge devices since it only works for unbridged networks, etc.) in the firewall command section, knowing they will run after a network change. I haven't observed the incomplete firewall changes, but maybe that accounts for a few times when I've seen the router act weird and I just rebooted without much investigation.
I also have some startup related tasks in the startup section. However, I've found when network related changes are made (adding a vlan, for instance) the startup scripts are run again! I always assumed they were run only after boot. This is easy to verify by adding a line like "date >> /tmp/foo" to the startup script, then add a vlan.
I see this with 35030M, which I'm currently testing, and an older version of Kong. Haven't tried the more recent versions, since Kong hasn't determined any of them to be stable.

Yes I've also observed the duplicated iptables entries while testing. However it's the missing rules in the later (2018) builds that is concerning as this impedes the expected router behaviour.

Why lock a thread about a kong stable build as stable builds are quite rare? People using "automatic updates" or "ddup --flash-unattended" may not have the time or expertise to read lengthy/complex test build discussions. The few replies in the stable build thread prior to locking already provided useful information.
The last stable kong stable build was r35030M dated 02/19/18 five months ago. Were the issues in the current stable build introduced after that? What are the arguments in favor of upgrading to the current stable build and the arguments in favor of remaining on the previous stable build?

After reboot, all enabled services are exposed to WAN side. IMO this is more attack surface than should be exposed. Not everyone always remembers to press apply settings each time after reboot.
Router: WiFi R7000 (2.4Ghz + 2 VAPs & 5Ghz +VAP)
Firmware: DD-WRT v3.0-r36070M kongac (05/31/18)

Errors: None
My best previous build 35550M had working VAPs for a total of 5 SSIDs. I been loooking for a 'newer' build without success for this configuration.
I read that Pandora-Box had working VAPs with this build 36070M. So I wanted to move from Build 35550M in the WiFi Router.
Durning my initial manual configuration with Build 36070M ran into wl0.2 and wl1.1 having the same MAC Address. egc had an idea to try changing the MAC on the 5Ghz Radio (from the 36840M build post). To get different MAC address on these VAPs I had to 'erase nvram' (without quotes) change the last MAC from F9 to F0 on the 5Ghz Radio (eth2) under the Networking GUI then apply then reboot. Now I have Build 36070M with working 5 SSIDs. _________________ Home Network on Telus 1Gb PureFibre - 10GbE Copper Backbone

WZR-1750DHP Missing USB files and Freeradius issue
Hi,
I am very new to this forum and need help badly.
Router/Version: Buffalo WZR-1750DHP
Firmware: DD-WRT v3.0-r36070M kongac (05/31/18)
Kernel: Linux 4.4.134 #568 SMP Thu May 31 11:02:32 CEST 2018 armv7l
Previous: BSr33772
Mode/Status: AP
CPU: CPU 82.5 °C / WL0 54.3 °C / WL1 50.4 °C
Reset: Yes after firmware upgrade to kong r36070M
First Issue
-I have a USB its /jffs/etc content are
root@gharkarouter:~# ll /jffs/etc/
drwx------ 7 root root 0 Dec 31 1969 freeradius
drwxrwxrwx 5 root root 0 Dec 31 1969 ..
drwxr-xr-x 3 root root 0 Dec 15 2016 20181023privoxy.bak
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 94.4K Mar 7 2017 PrivoxyBuffaloBackup.tar.gz
drwx------ 5 root root 0 Oct 23 09:15 .
drwxr-xr-x 3 root root 0 Oct 23 09:15 privoxy
When I save and apply any settings on the router I am missing some of my content in the same location. I am only seeing this
root@gharkarouter:~# ll /jffs/etc/
drwx------ 7 root root 0 Dec 31 1969 freeradius
drwxrwxrwx 5 root root 0 Dec 31 1969 ..
drwx------ 5 root root 0 Oct 23 09:15 .
But my schedule restart sometimes bringing back the missing content.
The above problem is disabling my privoxy and I am not able to browse properly. All the http:// links are showing browser page not found error.
-------------------------
Second Issue
When I click the "FreeRadius" link (I am not using FreeRadius). Sometimes I am loosing my router gui completely and getting browser page not found error. It looks like something is killing the http. Without the router GUI I am still able to browse the internet. Only after the restart I am able to see Router GUI back.
-------------------------
My ISP speed is 100 MBPS but my router is giving 20 to 30 MBPS.

Do not mount a usb drive to /jffs and enable internal flash support JFFS at the same time.
I disabled internal Flash (JFFS2) and rebooted. Noticed the following
I have this 7 Wifi 2 are WLan and 4 are Vlan

I get all of them back only when I use the commandline reboot.
Also the original issue of missing USB file is still there. Check out the list command below.
