New (KONG) Build - 07/23/2018 - r36375M
Router Model: Netgear 7800
Status: Working with errors
Reset: yes
Errors:
(1) IPV6 doesn't work with DOCSIS 3.1 modems (Models Technicolor E31T2v1 and Technicolor TC4400 on spectrum 1 gig service, grabs address but will not route at all. This happens with BS and Kong on my R7800(s) and R7000(s), works fine with DOCSIS 3.0 modems. Plug in router from spectrum and IPV6 works fine. I am at a loss on this one, I have tried everything, it just doesn't work. Had to turn off IPV6 on router because clients are assigned ipv6 address and try to route, but basically network performance goes into the toilet. I have tested a number of firmware versions and all the same result.
(2) On the R7800(s) if I plug in my XBOX One into any of the four hardwire connections on the router within a day the four ports will become unusable and requires the router to be hard reset to get ports active again. The LED lights when acting normal will show blinking leds when traffic is being used on each individual port, but when it dies all the lights blink the same time on the 4 ports and the switch is dead requiring hard reset (wireless is fine at this point). This doesn't happen with the R7000, and this only happens on KONG on the R7800. If I unplug Xbox from switch ports and go wireless no problems at all. Newer BS builds have other issues, so I don't know if this issue happens in BS current firmware. Last stable BS build that I had uptime over a year was r31924.
(3) How can swap be made active on the R7800? It was working before with r31924 on R7000, I am just wondering if its even implemented in newer firmware? Shows mounting but never seems to be activated when heavy file usage like in previous firmware.

First and foremost, NVRAM size changed from 64 to 128 in the older version you were using to the new version.
I suspect the NVRAM is still bunked and you may need to do another factory reset, and/or erase NVRAM. (command= nvram erase) Try that first. I suspect that will fix #2.
For #1- I suspect you should be using DHCPv6-PD, Prefix 64, and only have option Radvd checked. Then in the Admin>Command- execute "ifconfig eth0 promisc" (No quotes) and also click on the save startup button to save that every time your router reboots. That should get IPv6 working. Also, make sure to reboot your modem and router again. Do the modem first and then the router. This will help it get the IPv6 from your ISP to the modem and then to your router. It's best to leave the router off until the modem comes fully online again, then reboot the router.
AFAIK- the R9000 will be able to get you to utilize the full speed of your connection.

Just for info. With the r36175, ipv6 works fine on my r7500v2 without the need for "ifconfig eth0 promisc". _________________ Netgear R7800(2), R7500v2(2) WDS, Asus RT-AC68R (2)

Thank you @msoengineer for your suggestions. On the IPV6 information you gave me (ifconfig…), that does enable assignment of IPV6 address from provider and when testing I can get 19/20 or 10/10 on the various "check you ipv6" websites, the problem that I encounter with DOCSIS 3.1 is once I use the transport (example world of warcraft - IPV6 enabled) IPV6 slowly dies when data is being used over the protocol and eventully protocol is dead on router. I can recreate this with WOW or using an IPV6 speed test. The spectrum rep has been helping me with this for weeks now, we have even brought all my equipment to the field where we can directly plug into their equipment at the point where the neigborhood is wired to eliminate the underground wiring to the homes. Once we plug the routers in it can be recreated. Plugging directly from PC no problems, using DOCSIS 3.0 modems with router no problems, but once the DOCSIS 3.1 modem then problems when the router is used, directly with the 3.1 modem (without router) no problems. The one missing link here, and even the spectrum rep has problems with is that you cannot log into the new DOCSIS modems and see its logs. Apparently changes can be made in the modems that can bring down the internet in the neigborhood if misconfigured, they won't even allow the tech reps get into the modems. I just turned of IPV6 and gave up. I do not want to go back to r31924 just to get ipv6.
On the second problem with the XBOX, I have three r7800 routers, each were brand new, taken out of the box flashed with KONG first file, then nvram erased, and current firmware installed and configured. All three routers are acting exactly the same. The switch dies, and this is even when the xbox isnt even "turned on" but the XBOX is on in the background I think using its wake on lan to see if updates etc are available (or sending its data its data it is gathering for Microsoft). This doesnt happen on the r7000. So again I have no clue why, it works on wireless. I have about 12 hardwire devices on these ports, but only the directly wired xbox is causing the problem.

In security, is filter multicast checked? If so, uncheck it.
Also, is upnp enabled in nat/qos tab? Make sure it is.
Also, under admin, keep alive, I would have it reboot the router once a day to clear out anything that may want to linger. I reboot mine at 3AM when no one is doing anything online.

for some odd reason i do not have a "switch dies" situation it works very well and there are various devices connected to it...
but i haven't done reset from a quite long time im scared i ll loose some capabilities...

Was running r36375M kongat [07/23/18] for 6 days .... All ok but for No local DNS if connected to its ovpn server.
Ovpn local dns issue when was the last time it worked? 36100?
unbound local DNS worked ok thru its ovpn server with Kong_r36175M and also BS_r36330.
With Kong_r36175M running unbound the MS Store would not connect but there was recent update to microsoft store....
... not sure if it had the problem or dd-wrt. Haven't been back to older build.

Active connections IP table sorting is broken.
Sorting now only happens according to the sequence numbers in the first column no matter which column heading is clicked. The table cannot be sorted according to other columns any longer.
I don't know when this started, but my R7800 is running Kong's 36375M test version.

Should be related. Same, sorting when clicking on column table head not working in Site Survey. Previous 36175M build it was working.
