Router: ASUS RT-AC1900P
Firmware: v3.0-r36330 std (07/16/1
Previous: None (direct flash to this build from factory)
Status: OK
Reset: Yes, NVRAM cleared from CFE prior to flash
Issue: As noted above, 5GHz WLAN LED does not illuminate, but radio appears to work.
Working:
Basic router functionality (NAT, DHCP, iptables)
DNSmasq (using multiple address= config options)
OpenVPN client
*initially had issues with ovpnclient terminating but that was b/c my server was still using an MD5 cert, then connection issues because my server was old version using SHA1 for config channel.
Thank you so much!!! I've been a happy/proud user of DD-WRT on multiple routers for many years!
If I can help in any way, please let me know!

Kernel Version : Linux 3.18.115 #18077 Mon Jul 16 07:30:07 CEST 2018 mips
Reset : Yes, Hard Reset - both, before and after flash (30-30-30)
Install via : TFTP
Errors : None, so far.
Recommended notes :
Earlier, I was on build r29739, and on upgrading via router GUI to r36247, the router suffered a soft brick, i.e., bootloop. So, I recovered it via TFTP, and since then, I have been only flashing via TFTP, just to keep things simple.
I would recommend the same to other wr841n v11 users.
Yeah, it works. I didn't try flashing via DD-wrt Firmware Upgrade interface. I did it via TFTP. I'll recommend the same.
Hit me up for any more queries
On a tplink WR841v11 with this version I noticed today that the password-free info site appears available externally when enabled. In the past that has only been available internally.
work around is multicast_to_unicast=1 in custom config box on wifi security page for (any) ath10k radio. builds over r35927 are actually usable again for ath10k radios.
and for those with double macs like on the dir-862L or any other router, see that same link too, my comment below it.

Thank you for bringing light to this persistent problem. I have been checking on the forum for the past 2 months hoping it would be fixed. Being an owner of one its always good to hear feedback and tips from other D-Link owners.

Everything is working ok, but status LEDs are messed up:
Power LED orange on booting, OFF after
Internet LED is green on booting, orange when connected.
They are clearly not dead nor randomly messing up, just declared wrongly in firmware, in last few versions at least (I don't have time to try them all). Any chance of fixing, please?
