I know this has been asked and answered thousands of times, so forgive me. I know how to get to stock by using the ubootenv command to change the boot partition when in DDWRT. That gets me back to stock, with no problem. However, using the 3X on/off does not work for me. Keeps me in the same partition.

What I want to be able to do is switch FROM Stock To DDWRT without flashing. How can I do it.

I do not have a wrt to look at anymore, got tired of issues. There is a way to switch to the other partition. I think it is in advanced. Should also be written up in the manual? If you poke around in the UI you will find it. The exact wording on the selection is not totally clear as to that is what it will do.

Sorry I cannot be more specific.

Thanks Bill:

I thought that, from Linksys stock, going into Troubleshooting, diagnostics and then "Restore previous firmware" would do it. But when I tried that, it just bricked my router and I had to flash factory back on with a TTL cable.

I have a WRT1200 that I've been testing with, but it's not online on my network. Just trying to be sure that I can go back and forth, easily.

That would mean there was an issue with the build that you switched to. Switching between partitions should not brick the router unless what you switch to is bad. In which case you should be able to switch back to the good partition with the 3 off on sequence outlined in the threads in my sig if you have not read them lots of good info. Have successfully switched to other partition with the switch method, just need to be careful and watch lights. One of the nice things about these routers is with the two partitions they are pretty much unbrickable.
