I have Archer C7 V3.0, and I downloaded the V3 firmware but on status page it always has shown V2.0. Is this just display error?
I believe that the Archer C7 V2, 3 and 4 are nearly identical hardware. I think TP-Link just changed the board layout, not the components. They also changed the header, that is why a new model folder was created. As for the listing of V2, it is just identified wrong. I have had 940N v3, identified as a 841ND v8, that was before there were specific builds for the 940N v3. You can report it on the SVN, but it sounds like just a GUI issue. https://svn.dd-wrt.com/
All WebGUI upgrades.

Thanks for the update! I am having the mDNS issue myself. I'm so glad I checked out this forum or I probably would have spent another 8 hours diagnosing what I messed up on my LAN! I'm looking for more info on the root cause, is anyone aware? I'm aware it's a known issue. I just downgraded to 39500M and will report if the issue persists.

nvram commit
reboot
this is still not working so to test the issue on the previous 36006 i did a reset recompile and it was not working again so the issue dates further back and the only way to proceed this settings is to find and old build when this is still working and perform dirty flash to a new build (no reset)...but this is dodge and messy...i guess _________________ Atheros

What's the way to use mDNS ?
I sometimes can't reach some devices remotely, I don't know if it can be related to this issue.
