Yep looks like it... Maybe he just started. But for sure he's the one who replied to my emails when I informed them that they would receive a R6400v2 and that told me that Kong is an external contributor.

Looks like R6400v2 is supported in BrainSlayer's build as of today!

Yes it is supported!
ftp://ftp.dd-wrt.com/betas/2018/06-16-2018-r36154/netgear-r6400v2/
I am with a "myopenrouter" version and do not know how to flash it with the oficial release.
Is it safe to do webflash ??

I tried flash from Kong (myopenrouter) to BrainSlayer with “Don’t reset” and everything went OK.

Nobody must've attempted to flash https://download1.dd-wrt.com/dd-wrtv2/downloads/betas/2018/06-10-2018-r36104/netgear-r6400v2/ on the 10th, or they didn't report results, I guess.

Given I'm on an unsupported (tatagath das) version, I would just go to the GUI and upload netgear-r6400v2-webflash.bin ?

Is that right?

Thanks.

When switching between brands always use Netgear stock firmware in between and of course reset to defaults before and after

GAHH! Shocked
Re-setting up all my static IP's and such... oh dear. I need to set aside half a day for this then. (it's not a brand switch, FYI - it's just an early / unsupported DD-WRT release...)

Perhaps this will help you decide what to do (my path with the R6700v3 clone of the R6400v2):
