Hey guys. Having a bit of a problem. I recently flashed my netgear R6400 with DD-WRT v3.0-r35030M. Everything works great, except after about 5-6 hours the router loses it's connection to the internet. It seems to only happen a few hours after i've switched off the wifi radios using the button on the router, but im not positive. I have Centurylink and have my modem in bridge mode. I'm also unable to log in to the router when this happens. The only way to fix it is to power it off and back on again. Anyone have an idea of what might be causing this and how I can fix it? Thanks in advance

I have an R6400 and used that build for a long time without problems.
Could well be the switching off of the radio's, so leave the radio's on for a couple of days and see what is happening.
You can enable syslog and send it to another computer so that you can see what is going on: https://www.howtogeek.com/107069/how-to-remotely-collect-server-events-using-syslog/

Thanks for the response. I will leave them on and see how it goes, and I'll save a log as you suggested. Though I would to know what's going on as I'd like the ability to switch them off without losing the internet after a few hours. Is there an updated, more stable version out now?

Others are having similar issues, ESPECIALLY when turning off wifi via commands/buttons. I also have the issue when wifi is running (only 2.4ghz). You might actually find its not that you lost internet, specifically, its that the router is DoSing your whole network with broadcasts...I bet you can't even ping the router or any other machines on your network, even if they exist on the same switch and NOT directly attached to the router when this happens... I've also found that the router will not release/renew the WAN IP using the buttons in the UI OR if the lease expires...something very wrong if WAN isn't renewing its lease when it expires...

Anyone have other suggestions for any of this? Success with certain versions?

Mine is a v1, none of the dd-wrt versions that 'support' the r6400 work for me, they all have all these issues.
