Hello to all. I am new to this forum. Needing some help with installing dd-wrt firmware for a Netgear WNDR3300 wireless router. I know it's an old router, but I would like to install the firmware. I did do a search and tried to downloaded the following firmware:

ftp://ftp.dd-wrt.com/others/eko/V24_TNG/svn12548/dd-wrt.v24-12548_NEWD_mini_wndr3300.chk

But I keep getting the following message: This site can’t be reached.

Does the firmware still exist for WNDR3300 wireless router?

Any help would be most appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks. I downloaded the dd-wrt.v24_std-wndr3300.chk. However, I am unable to find the firmware version DD-WRT v24-sp2 (04/07/10) mini anywhere on the dd-wrt website to download for the WNDR3300. Can anyone lead me to the file so that I may download and install it on my Netgear WNDR3300? I did find the following discussion: https://forum.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=447196&sid=518d12f97fc797047ee8a61b9d4d11c4 that the firmware is stable and working. Please help. Thank you.

I do not have that router but according to the thread and the wiki you can use the mini generic k2.4 If I read it all correctly.

Those builds can be found where all builds can be found: ftp://ftp.dd-wrt.com/betas/2018/

And if you do not know what broadcom k2.4 means or where those builds can be found that is in the .... broadcom directory i.e. ftp://ftp.dd-wrt.com/betas/2018/06-01-2018-r36079/broadcom/

Smile

But als always check and double check a wrong build can brick your router

Besides any of the 36079 mini builds, there is one standard build that will fit (as noted in the thread Malachi linked):
dd-wrt.v24_usb_generic.bin
Disregard that your router lacks USB. Smile

The latest build that I've found for WNDR3300 with OpenVPN support that fits this router is 28598 (12/24/15): https://download1.dd-wrt.com/dd-wrtv2/downloads/betas/2015/12-24-2015-r28598/broadcom/dd-wrt.v24_vpn_generic.bin

WiFi: "up to 270 Mbps on the 5 GHz band depending on the channel and width you pick"

Ethernet: 10/100

How do you get 2.7 times more, on the WiFi, than eth can deliver?

Yeah, I know it's an old box, but I work with hand-me-downs.
