I'm testing a (serial interface) Axesstel MU130 3G USB Modem. On the wiki states it's supported (although I don't know since what build).
If I plug it directly to my PC and use the supplied software it works. I'm using the same APN and dial string on the router (i.e. *99#, int.movilnet.com.ve). I had reset the router, with and without the USB storage option enabled, no joy.
I attach some information about the dongle and how the system handles it:
dmesg after reboot
usbcore: registered new interface driver usbserial
drivers/usb/serial/usb-serial.c: USB Serial Driver core
drivers/usb/serial/usb-serial.c: USB Serial support registered for Sierra USB modem
usbcore: registered new interface driver sierra
drivers/usb/serial/sierra.c: USB Driver for Sierra Wireless USB modems: v.1.7.0
drivers/usb/serial/usb-serial.c: USB Serial support registered for GSM modem (1-port)
usbcore: registered new interface driver option
drivers/usb/serial/option.c: USB Driver for GSM modems: v0.7.1
Code:
dmesg after remove and plug-in
usb 1-2: USB disconnect, address 3
usb 1-2: new high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 4
usb 1-2: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice
scsi1 : SCSI emulation for USB Mass Storage devices
usb-storage: device found at 4
usb-storage: waiting for device to settle before scanning
scsi 1:0:0:0: CD-ROM UsbModem Storage Disk 2.31 PQ: 0 ANSI: 2
usb-storage: device scan complete
I don't like it's being detected as a storage device instead of a modem device. But anyways, any ideas different than "try the last beta build"? _________________ If you want support, please read first the announcements and forum rules.

Axxestel MU130 first appeared in r24967 so that build or something later is what you have to flash. _________________ Kernel panic: Aiee, killing interrupt handler!

Thank you, LOM. I will have to look for a good build for me after that one. _________________ If you want support, please read first the announcements and forum rules.

It should switch to 1726:a000, verify with
cat /proc/bus/usb/devices which also will show if the serial driver has bound to it. _________________ Kernel panic: Aiee, killing interrupt handler!
