I just bought another WRT3200ACM. I connected it via lan cable in port 1 directly to my laptop. I browsed to 192.168.1.1 and started the setup routine via manual setup. I went to the connectivity page and chose the factory to dd-wrt.bin file for the build that I want. Ran the firmware upgrade. Download finished and router rebooted. I closed web browser and reopened it and typed 192.168.1.1 and the linksys interface came back up instead of the dd-wrt interface. I did a reboot and still no dd-wrt. I went through this process several times to no avail. What am I missing.

Just wondering, have you tried to restore your firmware to the previous version so you can see if it might be in the other partition?

Yes, I did a power cycle to switch partitions. It's not there.

Have you read the stickys at the tip of the page, or the links in my sig? These tell you exactly how to install and lots of other good info. For the intial install, make sure you are using a factory-to-ddwrt file. e

Also make sure you are installing a recent build from here
as older builds will not install on newer wrt3200's.

I did read all of your stickys. I read on another thread that the new 3200's were having problems. What is the most recent stable version that will load? Thx.

If you read the forum threads you will find any of the newer ones will work. Give the latest a try. Should load without issue.
